Animal- Acrylic

My Acrylic painting is of a flamingo on a beach. Something I like about my painting is the clouds. I like the clouds because I put alot of detail into them and they look like they are real. Something I dont like about my painting is the water. I dont like the water, because it doesnt look as realistic as it did in the picture. In my painting I used value, I used value in the water, it goes from a dark blue/ green to a lighter blue/ green. I also used texture in the flamingo with the feathers, the feathers are rough and fuzzy. I also used line in my painting, I made some parts of the flamingo dark to indicate the shadow on the bird and I used dark lines in the water to show there are waves and the water is rough. I used contrast in my painting by making highlights and shadows in certain areas such as on the bird and on the sand. I used balence in my painting because the painting is assymetrical/ uneven on each side. The sides do not match up.
