2 Point Perspective Drawing

I drew my 2 point perspective drawing like this because I wanted to have a building that had one side facing the sun and the other side showing that it's not facing any light source, therefore the other side of the building is a little bit darker than the other. I also wanted to have a hand for the human piece in my drawing because I wanted it to look like the hand was coming down to grab the building. I did not have any type of inspiration for my work, I just wanted to draw a building with a hand trying to grab the building, I thought that it would have looked cool to have that kind of human piece in my drawing. My drawing was supposed to have a brick kind of look for the sidewalk and for it to have people walking on the sidewalk. How I changed my plans from that, is by making the sidewalk a normal sidewalk, and for the human piece, I changed that to the hand in the sky. Something I think I did well with was the sidewalk. I think I make each square even and I make it look realistic and like there is a curb that separates where the sidewalk is and the road. One of the challenges that I encountered was the color of the picture, I couldn't figure out how to make each object or thing a different shade/ color. How I solved this problem was by looking at the value scale and seeing what shades I did not use in my drawing. How I grew as an artist/ person, is by learning how to use two point perspective, this will help me in the future because I will then know exactly what to do for these kinds of drawings. Something I learned when I drew this drawing is unity, I learned this because my drawing looked complete once I drew the lines on the sidewalk and shaded in my drawing using the value scale.
